Definitely going as a Breton with a bow for this matter. Bosmer would be my second choice if they were not part of the Aldmeri Dominion. The High Elfs just seem too important in that faction.

I'm so torn by this.

My favorite races are Bretons and Argonians but there on different teams. The way I play them are totally different as well with my Argonians being thieves and Bretons mages.

Has there been any news on how combat, magic, and stealth will be handle in the game or how the factions play out? I read somewhere that the fighter's guild will be somehow tied in with Daedric Artifacts but what about other factions?

It seems that:

Ebonheart Pact will be Argonian assassins, Nord warriors, and Dunmer mages.

Daggerfall Covenant will be Orc berserkers, Redguard warriors, and Bretons can be whatever the hell they want.

Aldmeri Dominion will be Altmer mages/warriors, Khajiit mages/warriors/assassins, and of course, Bosmer archers.

I would love the ebonheart pact if it didn't have racist vikings(only in skyrim, they are fine in Oblivion, and no offence to anyone who likes Nords). Planning to play as a dunmer and liberate the Imperial City from malevolent daedra. It will be Divine.

So, just to make it clear why the factions fight.

Daggerfall Covenant: The Empire is always best ruled by a human, that way we are prosperous.

Aldmeri Dominion: Tamriel should be ruled by Mer once again, to make permanent peace and prosperity.

Ebonheart Pact: We are all in danger, and we should stop it at once. The Empire is ruled by an evil Deadra and his worshippers, it's our responsibility to save everyone.
