Hi, I'm Sotek, a Host in The Story Corner. (TSC).
In case you are wondering, I’m an Argonian Werewolf. I'm heavily involved with the Companions faction in Whiterun where my eternal mate Aela the Huntress Resides. Our hobbies include hunting Silverhands, Chasing deer, Spending nights under the stars and telling Fight's with Honor all about our trips to the plains 'cause it winds her up.
When I greet fellow pack members of Tamriel Vault I usually start with an ‘Awwwooo’. Don’t worry, it’s a friendly howl. I may refer to myself as the Bad Wolf of the Blog but that’s when I’m keeping the pack in The Story Corner in order. It’s not often I bite though.
I started writing this story in Dec 2012. Since then my writing ability has improved throughout my time here in Tamriel Vault. Should you decide to read it then you will see a progression of my writing as the story unfolds. Not only is the story about an Argonian, but it’s about my own journey as a writer.
The reason I write, is for my wife and soul mate. In Dec 2012 she had a big operation to remove cancer. That’s when I started writing for her. It casts a bit of light during her darker days so I decided to share it with you all in the hope that someone else might find some comfort within the pages.
My name is Sotek. I'm an Argonian and this is my story.
Union Of The Snake
This is my build which I put together during the Evolution Event in CB. As you would have expected from me, it's a Werewolf build. I had a great time forging this beast. Feel free to have a look and comment. I’m always willing and happy to receive criticism and suggestions.
If art is your thing then why not check out my Gallery. Over my time here I've developed a rather unique style compared to other members of the blog. The best way to describe it is TRIBAL.
After seeing the likes of Okan, SF, and various other members of the blog sign up for this, I decided to have a look at it and see if it was practical for me to give this a go. After all writing 50,000 words in a single month is one hell of a challenge. I gave it some serious consideration and after weighing everything I decided it wasn't in my best interest to take part.
Some of my most valuable lessons and experiences began with that single sentiment. I completed NaNoWriMo 2015 in fourteen days.
Five of my favorite quotes...
We don't actually worship Hircine... We just bite who he tells us to.
It's no good hand feeding venison to a wolf then complaining because it bit you... It’s a wolf... What the hell did you expect?
Biting necks and sucking blood is so unsanitary... Crack open the ribs and tear out the heart!!!
There are only three races in Skyrim... Werewolves, Argonians, and everyone else.
Anyone who keeps a dog is a coward. They haven’t got the guts to bite people themselves.
Kill fast, kill quickly, leave nothing but a half eaten corpse.
A quick but heartfelt thank you to Edana for these wonderful headings.
With a sense of purpose, Sotek strolled over to the intricately carved wooden double doors while his tail swung to and fro behind him. He was soon thwarted however when he tried to turn the handle. To his dismay he found the doors to be locked.
He knelt down by the bronze lock and peered inside like he was studying the mechanism within. With a sly glint in his eyes, he called out.
“Harbinger? Is there a key to the door?”
His question was met with silence. Having…Continue
Upon entering the hall, Kodlak was, for once, relieved to see Tilma chasing Aela down the stairway. They were both arguing over the young she-wolf’s attitude and the fact that she trapped through the area where Tilma was trying to clean. This gave Kodlak the perfect opportunity to get to his chair without unduly worrying Tilma over his leg.
An added beneficial effect was that the Whelps had dispersed outside in the opposite direction to the ongoing ruckus, leaving Kodlak…Continue
When Farkas and Vilkas, who were acting as Kodlak’s ‘shield bearers’, approached the main gate, they started cheering. Kodlak however wasn’t feeling very jubilant; he was too preoccupied with the task of trying to stay on their shoulders.
Passing the gate provided Kodlak with new dangers as the two Companions were too busy with their…Continue
The steady drum of the of the horses hooves ‘clip clopping’ along the pathway helped to sooth Kodlak’s troubled mind. His apprehension grew with the inevitable passing of every landmark on the Companions journey back to Whiterun and their final destination, the hall of Jorrvaskr.
The vial which Sotek, who now held the position of Harbinger, had given him worked wonders on his leg. It numbed the pain significantly which helped him to settle for the journey yet his concerns…Continue
