A mortal of Nirn with the soul of a wyrm,
A dragon of the north, born from the east,
A traitor to his people, but a savior to the world,
This is the legend of the dovahkiin, the last of the dragon blood…
… The one who chased the wind.
Four souls journey to the north at a time of crisis. Dragons have returned, a threat unseen for thousands of years. Old tales speak of heroes born with their blood – mortals who could match the beasts in power. Their legacy lives on in the veins of a wanderer, a kind soul who wears a killer’s mantle. He must bear the weight of his terrible purpose and become the greatest dragon slayer Tamriel has ever known.
And he must do it against all odds… for there are those, in the name of justice, who would see him die trying.
This is an ongoing novelization of Skyrim's story, inspired by one of my most memorable playthroughs. It will be a chronologue of events told by four separate characters, each acting as narrators to their own tales. I will attempt to release new postings as often as I am able to do so.

Arc 3 ~ A Stab in the Dark
Short Story ~ Brings Rain
An Argonian nomad, Chases-The-Wind has lived the past decade of his life as a wanderer, never truly settling in one place. The coming of the dragons in Skyrim, however, will soon change that...
A Nord strong-arm and sword for hire, Reinhardt has made a living for years off of bounty hunting in Cyrodiil. After receiving a letter from his family, he returns to Skyrim, soon thrown into the chaos that has engulfed his home.
A young Argonian and practiced thief, Dar-Meena lives solely for herself. At the promise of greater opportunity, she travels to the north – only to meet the terror of the dragons’ return, and the one person who can stop them.
A Retainer of house Telvanni, Falura possesses the knack of a scholar – with a lack of arcane talent. In the wake of an escort assignment to Winterhold, she sets to unravel the secrets of the dragons, a rising threat to both Skyrim and Morrowind.

I can't wait to read some from the other characters!
I will give this a try :)
Phew... Just got done making some far flung revisions though most of the chapters. Much of it is negligible. However, I have made a hefty edit to the conversation that takes place in the prologue. There's nothing new in terms of information revealed, but I wasn't satisfied with the way it sounded. I like it much better now.
Also, I've updated the title image. It's at a higher resolution, with reworked text graphics.
Dang, this is nice!
I had been around this site for over a year and not once had I ventured into the Story Corner. Then I saw a link to this and thought what the hell? This blog is amazing. Your writing skills are worthy of a professional author and you develop plots and characters very well. This deserves to be printed.
This means a great deal. Thank you for taking the time to say this.
In all honesty, I'd probably still write even if people didn't praise my work. I've come to love it too much. But the fact that you and many others have not only read my story but expressed enjoyment in reading it is the best thing I could ever hope for.
Again, sincerely, thank you! ^_^
So! I think it's high time I let people know what my plans are for this story in the coming months.
Chapter 17 is in the works right now. After that, there'll just be three or four more chapters before Arc 1 is finished (depending on how things get drawn out). My goal is to try and finish these chapters before the summer's end. I feel this is a feasible goal, especially considering how much free time I've got right now.
...BUT that's not where my work on Arc 1 ends. I've been thinking hard about doing some rigorous editing on my writing, to try and polish this thing enough that it shines. Yet I don't want to stop to do all of that right now - I find that this pace of releasing new chapters regularly is working well for me in terms of keeping up motivation.
My master plan, once the final chapters are complete, is to perform all the edits I want to then re-release the entire first arc as a single, standalone PDF file. The download link for this file will be unveiled in a blog post. In addition, the PDF itself will contain much more than just the chapters I've written. I'm planning on throwing in some extra stuff as well, to keep things interesting. :)
At the end of the day, this PDF will be my final, preferred, and definitive version of the work. Assuming I continue with DOTE into the future, I will do this for subsequent arcs as well.
Beautiful Okan. Just beautiful. Your stories continue to amaze me. Thank you so much for posting these, as I'm sure I'm not the only one who gets enjoyment out of them.
I can't wait for the next chapter! read all of it and it's left me craving more!
Good news for you, then - it's coming out today.
I've been reading all chapters, and I really love it. Your writing is most excellent!
I hope you will continue to enjoy it, then. It's because of folks like you that I keep writing this series. It's been an absolute blast and I've yet to grow tired of it! :D
